Self Employed

Once we have a detailed overview of your financial circumstances, we will analyse what’s on offer and advise you on how much income protection you should have in place.

Example
Jack (35) is a self-employed solicitor. He doesn’t smoke and earns €75,000 per year.
How much income protection can he have and how much will it cost him?

Answer:
Jack can get cover for 75% of his income – €56,250 per year – at a cost of €64.87 via monthly direct debit.

However, he can get tax relief of approximately €26.60 per month.

So, covering 75% of his income is costing him just €38.27 per month. That’s €8.83 per week.
